In this presentation, I will share my artistic thesis upon my experience of the last 14 months working with several AI image and video generation tools on various projects, looking at the levels of communication (prompting, furthermore coding) its output variations, multiplication and synchronicities that manifest through the metaphor of the Angel. The Angel, an ephemeral, heavenly being that was first transplanted into monotheism through Judaism, and is believed to draw inspiration from the Mesopotamian Sukkal. The Sukkal roles included those of a messenger and a translator, which correlates to the etymology of the term Angel itself. Furthermore, in Judaic traditions, the Angel served as a catalyst in various creation processes in its assigned spheres and roles, but never assumed full control or rights over its creations. Looking through these lenses, we can find a new way to approach the ever-developing AI tools available to us as artists, without fearing the immediate loss of control as artists. To do that, I will share the creative processes of my first and my latest projects done with the help of AI generators, as well as provide examples to the evolution of my artistic approach.
