In philosophy, the brain in a vat (BIV) is a scenario used in a variety of thought experiments intended to draw out certain features of human conceptions of knowledge, reality, truth, mind, consciousness, and meaning. As virtual reality and the metaverse develop, it is unknown whether these technologies will impact human autonomy.

Zhang Long was born in Qingdao, China in 1992. Graduated from the Advanced Imaging College of Chung-Ang University in Korea with a master's degree. Currently pursuing a PhD at the School of Advanced Imaging, Chung-Ang University, Korea. Participated in many international exhibitions.
