The theme expressed in the work is to oppose animal cruelty and respect every life. Although we human beings have to sacrifice the lives of some animals to survive, this does not contradict the love for animals. We can sacrifice the lives of animals in order to fill our stomachs, which is the instinct given to us by nature. But we should not hurt a life for fun, every life, life is not valuable or cheap.
The inspiration comes from a news story on March 9. A small dog was shot through the body by an arrow, which missed the heart by 0.75cm. This reminds me of all kinds of cruelty to animals in the past. Trampled on by high heels, strangled, eyes gouged out, fur stripped off. The beautiful earth was originally the common home of every life, but in the eyes of these animal torturers, it seems to be a paradise for them to kill. Taking this as inspiration, I used the carousel as a carrier in the amusement park to create an installation art work on this phenomenon of animal cruelty.
