About

The human senses are capable of evoking memories from a long time ago, and similar smells, familiar objects, and similar sounds can trigger fragments deep in our memory. My hometown bears the unique emotional memories of young people who have been traveling abroad. The author, who has been traveling between the north and the south for years, has deeply felt the changes in temperature and humidity between cities in the north and cities in the south, as well as the smell feelings that are different from those in the south. Therefore, the author uses tea cultural utensils of Fujian to convey the smell and humidity of my hometown in my memory. In the name of fragrance to taste the smell and feeling of home. Tea set The sound of the collision and the humidity and smell felt by the audience when they pick up the teacup create a unique sensory field, bringing synesthesia experience with sight, smell and hearing.Tea culture is popular in the author's hometown, and there is a process of tasting tea in the tea culture. The quality and characteristics of tea are tasted by smelling the tea fragrance on the tea bowl cover. The work "Pinxiang" tastes the smell from the author's hometown in the name of tasting incense. Among them, a fog device is hidden under the teacup that surrounds the work for a week. When the audience picks up the teacup to taste the fragrance, the device will spray out moisture with unique smells (see Figure 29), such as the smell of grass, the smell of water from streams, the smell of red bayberry falling on the ground after maturity and ferment, the smell of longan loquat mixed with various fruit trees, and so on. Religious culture is prevalent in my hometown, and the smells of some scenes such as Buddhist halls in my memory are also selected. Most of these smells come from water, soil, and leaves in my hometown. The smells are developed by distillation and modulation methods, diluted and blended, and then put into the device. When the audience picks up several teacups at the same time, a random combination of smells from different fields will be generated. For example, a Buddhist hall stands next to a bamboo forest, and a stream flows next to it, which mixes the smell of water from the stream, the smell of soil in the bamboo forest, the smell of incense burning in the Buddhist hall, and the smell of moss. The teacup in the middle repeatedly taps on the table, and the audience tastes the pen amid waves of sound.
