Abstract

Tools powered by artificial intelligence, including generative AI, are rapidly spreading into creative fields. Yet many of these tools focus primarily on imitating existing styles or improving efficiency, rather than enabling fundamentally new forms of expression. This talk begins with two central questions: Is it possible to create expressions that transcend existing frameworks through AI? And what should AI tools be like in order to support such creativity? Drawing on more than ten years of hands-on practice in the domain of music, I will explore the essential challenges facing today’s generative AI and consider the ideal role of AI as a true partner in human creativity.
