Kaia, the protagonist, is drawn into cyberspace while operating a hacking console, where she confronts a vast AI. Controlled against her will, she briefly returns to humanity and sheds tears of joy. Yet back in reality, her emotions are suppressed once more. Were those tears real—or merely synthetic?

Taekwan Kim is a member of the CAD Lab, a 3D animation research laboratory led by Professor Kyuhyun Kim. After entering graduate school, Taekwan Kim began developing his own creative practice, focusing on the poetic interplay between digital form and emotional narrative. His works explore how computational processes can translate personal imagination into shared sensory experiences. Continuing to create with the intention of connection and communication, Kim’s artistic journey lies at the intersection of technology, storytelling, and human empathy.
