Cheonggyecheon is a space that embodies many layers of historical context, from the period when it was covered to its later restoration. This film began with the imagination of a strange being that has witnessed the history of Cheonggyecheon from the time it was covered until the present, living among the people who make their lives along its stream.

Gilwoo Jeong is currently enrolled in the Graduate School of Advanced Imaging Science, Multimedia & Film at Chung-Ang University, majoring in Film and Media Production. Molted Shell is his first work created during his graduate studies, marking the beginning of his exploration into cinematic expression and storytelling.
