Produced with support from the Ulsan International Film Festival in 2023, this film explores the lingering trauma of survivors of the Jeju April 3rd Incident. It tells the story of Ok-soon, an elderly woman living with pain and dementia, and her granddaughter Eun-young, who comes to take care of her. Set against the beautiful landscapes of Ulsan, the film depicts Eun-young’s journey toward understanding her grandmother, Ok-soon.

Director

Min-a Park is currently majoring in Film & Media Production at Chung-Ang University’s Graduate School of Advanced Imaging Science, Multimedia & Film. She has been making short films since her teenage years, and her short film Island (2016) was first screened at the Daejeon Independent Film Festival. Deeply interested in themes of trauma and overlooked stories, she is now exploring a wide range of genres.
