Between life and death, what choices do we make, and what can we leave behind?
<Midnight Bus> is a story about the final journey to the afterlife—not merely a narrative of death, but a tale of the traces of life, lingering attachments, and human warmth. Following the last route of the grim reaper Kangrim, the film sheds light on beings who, even in the face of death, still hold on to deeply human emotions. The flow of feelings between Kangrim, detached and businesslike, and the passengers unable to let go of their regrets, ultimately invites us to reflect on what we must not lose while we are still alive. Responsibilities and regrets that remain even after death, and unexpected warmth - this work seeks to convey that, even within the coldness of reality, something profoundly human endures until the very end.
