Greetings from Chung-Ang University. I am Sang-Gue Park, the President of Chung-Ang University.

I extend my warmest welcome to all the participants of the Advanced Imaging International Festival and International Conference 2023, AIIF 2023, an international event that Chung-Ang University is proud to host. This welcome is extended to both our online attendees and visitors who have traveled to Chung-Ang University’s campus from around the world.

The Artificial Intelligence-Contents Future Industry Education Research Center of Chung-Ang University’s Graduate School of Advanced Imaging Science, Multimedia & Film, which organized this event, is currently engaged in Korea’s largest group research project known as the 4th BK21 Future Talent Development Project. Furthermore, the Center has earned recognition for its outstanding work, having been selected as an excellent educational research center. I applaud both the Graduate School of Advanced Imaging Science, Multimedia & Film and the AI-Contents Future Industry Education Research Center for organizing exhibitions and programs, as well as for creating a platform that generates a wide range of value, including citizen participation and co-growth with the local community through their involvement.

The AIIF, now expanded to be held both online and offline, will take place from today until October next year. It will feature approximately 80 works spanning various fields, such as media art, animation, film, and imaging science, along with online conferences inviting world-renowned international scholars. Fourteen films submitted to film festivals by students majoring in film at Chung-Ang University, the epicenter of K-culture, will also be showcased at the Grand Theater of Kim Young-Sam Library, our local community’s library.

I hope that the attendees will have a meaningful time finding inspiration in the outcomes of the challenges and experiments that the convergence of art and AI technology presents. I promise Chung-Ang University’s unwavering support for the AIIF on its journey to becoming a world-class festival that will pioneer the innovative future of media trends through the convergence of engineering technology and media art based on AI.

Lastly, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all the organizers and staff who worked hard to make this event happen. I hope for a successful event with the support and interest from all. My heartfelt wish is for all participants to enjoy good health and happiness.
