The 2024 AIIF Advanced Imaging International Festival, jointly organized by the BK21 FOUR Educational Research Institute for AI-Contents Future Industry and the Graduate School of Advanced Imaging Science, Multimedia & Film at Chung-Ang University, will be held over three days from November 7th to 9th, both online and offline. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, this year’s AIIF will present a wide array of visual content and the latest research achievements, under the theme "AI^2 ver5.0: Advanced Imaging & Artificial Intelligence," exploring the intersection of art and technology.
<Chapter 1: Exhibition_New Forms> New Forms is an exhibition showcasing diverse works and the latest research in media art, games, film, animation, and more. The Art & Technology section will feature advanced research and creative experiments by students from Graduate School of Advanced Imaging Science, Multimedia & Film. The Co-Exhibition section will show the result of artistic exchanges with universities in China. Both Art & Technology and Co-Exhibition will be available online and offline at Gallery 1 and Gallery 2 in Building 301 from November 7th to 9th. Additionally, previews of the Conference and Film Screening programs will be featured at this offline exhibition.
<Chapter 2: Conference_Shared Minds> Shared Minds is a conference featuring both international and domestic discussions on the fusion of AI technology and art. The International AIIF Conference will host global scholars and experts, exploring the value of AI in art through online lectures. The Pre-Conference will feature student presentations of their latest research in an online lecture format. Furthermore, on November 7th at 4:00 PM, Room 904 in Building 301 will host the "Generative Visual Effects Conference," where experts will gather to discuss the potential of virtual production and its promise for leading the future of the global visual industry.
<Chapter 3: Film Screening_Future Stories> Future Stories is a film screening program featuring works by Chung-Ang University film students that have been submitted to domestic and international film festivals. To foster community connections and promote cultural exchange and growth, screenings will take place on November 7th and 8th at the Heuk Seok (Kkamangdol) Library near Chung-Ang University.
